BIG ON PERSONALITY WINS AT HARRAH’S PHILADELPHIA
Former short-time Kentuckiana Lodge visitor, Big On Personality, won his USA debut at Harrah’s Philadelphia, Pennslyvania, on Monday (NZ time) for the Jim King jun stable.
The four-year-old Bettor’s Delght-Personality Plus gelding settled midfield form the five barrier for top driver Tim Tetrick improved to second at the three-quarters and proved too strong, wining by a length and a half in 1:52.4 (fifths) in a $14,000 pace.
Big On Personality, now raced by Richard Poillucci and Jo Ann Looney King, only raced 11 times in NZ, winning twice at Auckland last term for the John and Joshua Dickie team.
He was sold by Croon Bloodstock to Mr Poillucci after running second to Revolver at Auckland in early May, and came south to Kentuckiana Lodge for the $40,000 Garrard’s Sires Stakes Sophomore Classic at Addington on May 17, finishing fourth behind Grand Chico, Double Rocket and The Moonshadow.
After running second to Feel The Money at Ashburton on June 2 and unplaced at Addington June 14, he left to prepare for his future racing in North America.
