DEXTER DUNN NOTCHES FOUR WINS ON HARRAH’S CARD
New Zealand reinsman Dexter Dunn again made the most of his opportunities on the big 14-race Harrah’s Philadelphia programme on Thursday (NZ time), adding another four wins to his growing USA tally.
After a couple of non-racing days to freshen, Dexter saluted in the second, a $12,000 trot behind fourth favourite Inaperfectworld, who won by 1 1/4 lengths in 1:58.
After finishing second in a $14,000 pace, he combined with the consistent Chris Ryder-trained Uffizi to score a front-runing win in a $16,000 pace in 1:51.4.
Uffizi, a 4YO American Ideal entire from an Artsplace mare, was the second favourite and held favourite Torrin Hanover (Daniel Dube) by a length and three quarters.
Dexter then backed up in the next by reining third favourite Skyway Cobra to take out a $8500 trot in 1:56.8.
He completed the day taking out the final event behind back runner and second favourite Saint Simeon in another $8500 trot, winning this time in 1:56.6.
On Friday, Dexter added two more late victories on the programme at Harrah’s, advancing to 28 wins since arriving in the USA late last month.
He won a $14,500 trot in 1:54.8 with favourite New Jersey Viking, and a $14,000 fillies and mares pace in 1;55.4 with second favourite, Step Beyond.
Dexter also managed three seconds and a third on Friday.
