BIG ON PERSONALITY IN CAREER BEST
Former part-time Kentuckiana Lodge pacer Big On Personality has kicked off his USA year with a 1:51.1 (fifth) win at Dover Downs, Delaware, on Friday (NZ time).
The Bettor’s Delight-Personality Plus gelding was beaten out from the ace but assumed the front-running role at the half-mile point for driver Tim Tetrick.
He held by a length and a half to extend his USA record to five wins from six starts for the Jim King jun stable.
Another NZ-bred to win on the Dover card was Robbie Burns (9g Live Or Die-Kurahaupo Charm) in 1:52, while Aust-bred former Allstars pacer Mr Ohanzee (6g Art Major-Spitfire Shadow), also won in 1:51.3 (fifths).
Tim Tetrick won four races on the card, while It was also business as usual for former top NZ driver Dexter Dunn, who won three.

Donegal Rundlescreek added a $17,000 fillies and mares pace at Yonkers, New York, on Friday (NZ time) to her Meadowlands victory from last weekend.
The former Kentuckiana Lodge mare led from the seven gate for driver George Brennan and was able to get a breather mid-race, before kicking home to win in 1:56.2 (fifths) on the half-mile track.
Now eight to Northern Hemisphere time, the diminuitive Bettor’s Delight-Boyd’s Creek mare has won 21 races lifetime, for over $300,000 in earnings.
